april 22 -- a couple of shows at the end of april -- death by audio (4/24) + the delancey (5/1) mar 30 - we're back from sxsw and the midwest!! -- check the blog for stories from the tour. we made a tour video and were inspired by sxsw to start twittering! thanks to everyone who put us up and put up with us! feb 26 - next wednesday we're at mercury lounge w/ anathallo! then we hit the road for sxsw + some shows in the midwest! dec 29 - happy holidays! we'll see you in the new year at union hall (1/9/09) dec 4 - we're the deli magazine band of the month - thanks to everyone who voted for us! hope to see you at the delancey this weekend (sat dec 6th at midnight) it's a great line-up -- b+p w/ the loom, naked hearts, the party faithful. oct 26 - november = pianos residency -- hope to see you every wednesday next month at 9pm at pianos !!! see 'shows' or below for more details! oct 25 - woah cmj was pretty great - thanks to everyone who hosted us and supported us (and mentioned our shows) during the week -- including poptartssucktoasted, nyctaper, cakeshop, lit lounge, gimme tinnitus, the music slut, the deli magazine and everyone else - yay sept 20 - uncensored interview sat down w/ keith and andrew recently. hear them bare their souls:
watch the rest of the interviews here. sept 1 - b+p took the last two weeks as a much needed vacation, but pretty soon we're hitting the road for some great out of town shows. philly, dc, charlotte, fredericksburg, geneseo, watch out! july 22 - new shows on the calendar! check us out as paste video of the day, and our other "new" video. as always, hit the blog for more b+p news than you can handle! may 22 - matt from stereo subversion interviewed us recently. check it out here. may 18 - lots of kind words about the new album from folks we greatly respect including:
april 22 - OUR RECORD IS OUT TODAY ! march 22 - album release party was beyond great! thanks to everyone who came out. the CityBird records online store opens today - here ! you can pre-order the CD and assorted other b&p stuff. the album's official release is April 22, look for it on iTunes, emusic, and your local record store (check back here for a full list). march 11 - next friday (march 21st) is our album release party! the record isn't out officially until april 22nd so this is your chance to get an early copy! The show is at Lit in the East Village and the 6$ cover + 4$ gets you 'ghost types', our long awaited first full-length album. we'll be streaming a different song from the record here at b&p.com in the weeks after the party. we can't wait to see you at Lit -- there'll be free drinks (more details to come) and a few other surprises. jan 28 - there is so much going on in the b+p camp that I have a hard time sitting still. first -- we are psyched for the manhattan portion of the 5/outer boroughs tour -- friday, february 8th at pianos with an amazing line-up of bands! second -- we have a release date for the album (april 22nd!) and our brand new label citybird records that will be releasing the record. third - well, i've gotta leave a few surprises for later i suppose. jan 19 - tonight we inched closer to indie rock legend -- we made it to staten island to play the third stop of our 'outer boroughs' tour. if you know of any shows this week in the bronx this week or next weekend that are looking for a well behaved, semi-literate, and courteous collection of musicians, we would be very interested in hearing more. (below is a graphical representation of b+p's efforts of the past weeks. the yak in brooklyn is andrew) jan 7 - this weekend we make a return trip to one of our favorite places to play, the Creek and Cave in Long Island City -- hope to see you there this friday night! dec 15 - crazy show at mercury lounge, thanks to everyone that was able to come out! one more show before the holidays, hope to see all the long island dwellers out, otherwise catch you at union hall on jan 4th! dec 4 - the mercury lounge show is SOLD OUT ! come early (7:30) if you have tickets!! nov 1 - for all the queens folks (i expect to see pete's family out in force ;) we're playing 'the creek and cave' tonight on jackson avenue. we go on at 10:30pm. for all the other nyc folks, see you at pianos in two weeks! october 8 - the tremendously great blog poptarts suck toasted has invited us to play their CMJ showcase (see the bottom of this page). yay! it's friday, october 19th at 1pm at the Delancey. october 2 - so much to report ! we're most of the way through our 'autumn tour' and it's been too great for words. great shows, fun new venues, and lots of new friends -- thanks to everyone who came out ! lots of great press for the tour - thanks to cmj, earfarm, battering room, 5acts, pennlive.com, instrumental analysis, the chapel hill news, bootleg magazine, mannsworld, and everyone else who wrote about the shows! september 11 - we've got a really exciting show this weekend -- a relatively new NYC party called 'hot rocks' -- the show is at the Delancey and we're playing with two fantastic new york bands: man in gray and aldenbarton . the whole thing starts at 9pm, and there are crazy drink specials. since it's not a school night, we might have one with you ...
